What is music therapy?

Music Therapy is the use of evidenced-based therapeutic music interventions by a board-certified music therapist to support and reach a clients’s goals.

At Connected Chords our music therapist uses music to support children and teens with developmental, emotional, social, educational, and physical goals. Music Therapy can look different between every client utilizing active and receptive music interventions in sessions.

What is community music therapy?

Community Music therapy is a relational, strength-based approach that uses music-making to foster social connection, emotional well-being, and health equity outside of traditional clinical spaces.

We use a community lens to understand how community impacts our clients. We focus on building connections outside of our sessions and fostering collaboration between disciplines. Furthermore, we want to build community for our families and clients so they can access what they need and thrive in their own communities.
